Welcome to Manx Bach Flower Remedies - Last Updated 19 July 2010

Hello, and welcome to my website. Being yourself means being relaxed, fulfilled and natural. When we feel at one with ourselves we are at our best. We feel energised, healthy and able to cope with whatever life throws at us. Sometimes though, situations come up in life which mean we don’t cope as well as we normally would.  The complementary approaches I offer will help and support you when you’re not feeling your best, getting you back on track and establish your future wellbeing. The therapies I practise have shown results, either from personal experience and from that of my clients. They are effective, practical and safe for all, including animals, and do not interfere with conventional medical treatment.

Have a look around the site, and see what might be right for you.  You will find it packed with information on various topics. My web site will be updated every month keeping you informed with special offers, events, workshops and much more. If you’re not sure what would be best for you, do contact me – I’ll be happy to have a chat. Remedy of the Month...

CRAB APPLE

Bach Flower Remedies - Remedy of the Month Crab AppleCrab Apple is one of the most useful remedies, and more so during this time of year. Why? Dr Bach called Crab Apple “the remedy of cleansing”. Now, there’s a clue in that key word “cleansing”, and Crab Apple can be cleansing in two ways, emotionally and physically. This remedy cleanses the mind or the body of that which is dislikes, creating emotions of despair and disgust. There are times when some negative aspect in our true nature fills us with disgust, shame or uncleanliness. This could be something about the way we have behaved, our appearance or a medical problem. Here’s an example, you’re on a pre holiday diet, you’re doing really well and then you have a blow out at a friends BBQ party. Oh dear, you ate and drank way too much, all that good work, you feel disgusted with your lack of restraint, so you think you might as well give up now, you’ll never lose that couple of pounds before the holiday, and before you know it, you feel despondent too! And, what is more, has anyone noticed you’ve gained a pound or two? NO! But in your mind, you feel huge! This inward looking view is typical of the Crab Apple type of person, someone who obsesses on one small aspect of themselves they really don’t like and focussing too much on trivial matters whether it be an emotional or a physical problem. Crab Apple types are also prone to compulsive behaviour such as re checking they’ve switched off a light, frequently washing their hands etc. The good news is that Crab Apple restores your sense of seeing problems in their correct proportions and enabling you to recognise the truly important things in life. That’s a great way to be isn’t it, broadminded, rational and in complete control of your thoughts. As the cleansing remedy, Crab Apple can be used externally. It can be used as a lotion, a cream (that’s why it’s in Rescue Cream) or a compress. A couple of Crab Apple drops on dampened cotton wool soothes midgey bites, stings, grazes, spots etc. Suffer from hay fever? Crab Apple is really effective used as a cold compress to soothe and relieve sore, itchy eyes. To buy this useful remedy simply place your order at my on line shop.
